Pella Corporation implemented Oracle's PeopleSoft HCM more than 18 years ago. True to the company's manufacturing roots, process automation was central to its HCM system philosophy. As a result, the PeopleSoft system was heavily customized with large-scale bolt-ons, configurations, security rules, and reports and data structures that have become difficult to maintain over the years. In summer of 2014, instead of upgrading the existing PeopleSoft system, Pella decided to move to the Oracle HCM Cloud platform for core HR, benefits, and payroll functions.
